Support
All Blairgowrie High School young people are entitled to support to enable them to gain as much as possible from the opportunities that school provides. Some young people may need additional support to help them with their learning. Some young people may need emotional support. Some young people may need financial support. Support can be short, medium or long term depending on the needs of the young person. Parents, carers and young people are encouraged to speak, in confidence, to their House Teams if additional support is required. Some examples of when additional support may be necessary are given below (this list s not exhaustive).
- is being bullied
- has behavioural or learning difficulties
- is a young carer
- is particularly able or talented
- is bereaved
- is not attending school regularly
- is living with parents who are abusing substances
