Online Voting for Participatory Budgeting
Please could you take the time to vote for a project that the English Department at Blairgowrie High School is working on in partnership with BOOKMARK.
Online Voting for Participatory Budgeting in the Blairgowrie and the Glens Ward is now open, the vote will remain open until the 9th of March at noon. Ours is Option H.
'The aim of this project is to show young people of all ages that reading is a vital life skill, but that it can also be entertaining and fun. By inviting pupils from our primary catchment area we want to show them that reading is valued and embedded at the High School. By inviting a variety of speakers/ workshop leaders we want the High School pupils to understand how reading is fundamental to their understanding of all their subjects. We also plan to invite members of the wider school community - parents and members of the public - to join in the events with the aim of encouraging them to show they value reading, whatever their age, social, or economic situation.’
More information on PB as well as links to the vote can be found on the Council’s website here.
