Careers Parent and Carer Information
Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is Scotland’s careers service.
SDS qualified Careers Advisers work in schools and careers centres across the whole of Scotland.
The SDS Careers Adviser in Blairgowrie High School is Sandra Whamond and you can get in touch with her through the school.
The SDS Careers Adviser is there for pupils all through school, helping them get ready for what they’ll do when they leave. Parents/Carers can also arrange to meet with the SDS Careers Adviser, particularly to talk about subject choice or options for leaving school.
SDS provides ongoing support for pupils when they leave school and might still be looking for the right job, apprenticeship or course. Check their Facebook page for more information or contact the Perth Centre on 01738 637639.
The work of SDS Careers Advisers is supported by the careers website My World of Work. It is designed to help pupils explore career, skills and learning opportunities right through school and working life.
A Parents/Carers Section provides you with the information you need to feel confident about helping your child with their career decisions.
Any queries please get touch with Sandra Whamond by contacting the school on 01250 871200 or email email@example.com.
