New City Hall Perth
The competition to choose an architect for the City Hall redevelopment is underway, and you are invited to make comments on the initial concept designs. A summary of comments will be included with the final recommendations to full Council, and will be used to inform the final design. Comments will be welcomed from 12 - 24 June.
What will City Hall be used for?
City Hall will be a major new cultural attraction displaying our own museum and art collections as well as touring exhibitions from the UK and abroad. It will include interactive displays, a learning space and will create a fantastic meeting point, both day and evening, at the very heart of Perth.
About the competition
The Council is working with the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) to manage the process of choosing an architectural firm to work on the project. Five major architects have been shortlisted to provide initial design concepts for the redevelopment of Perth City Hall.
How to comment
Have your say in our short survey
Please note that what you see here are the architects' initial concepts - the final detailed design will not look exactly the same. We would like your views on the five initial concepts.
They are also on display from 12 June to 24 June 2017 in the Civic Hall at 2 High Street, Perth, from 10am to 7pm (10am to 4pm at weekends) and on the east side of Perth City Hall, opposite St John's Kirk.
You can comment on the design concepts by filling in the online survey, emailing Perth2021@pkc.gov.uk, writing to City Hall Exhibition, Perth & Kinross Council, Pullar House, PH1 5GD or filling in a comment form at the Civic Hall in 2 High Street, Perth.
